Bartel Haupt is a Structural Design Engineer with more than 35 years’ experience in civil infrastructure works. In general his design experience includes structural analysis and design of large projects such as the new King Shaka International Airport in Durban, industrial steel framed structures, multi storey commercial and residential structures; several reinforced and prestressed concrete road and pedestrian bridges, two steel arch bridges and underpass projects in Oman and in South Africa.
In addition Bartel is actively involved in the design and project management of dams and dam elements.
Bartel’s formal engineering training includes his B.Sc (Eng) (Civil) completed at the University of Witwatersrand in 1981, Post Graduate Diploma completed at the University of Natal, Durban in 1993 and a Graduate Diploma from the University of Witwatersrand completed in 1986
He is a Registered Professional Engineer 1989 – 890364 with the Engineering Council of South Africa and a Member of South African Institution of Civil Engineers
